Ty Watson Sr. LPC, NCC

Ty Watson Sr. is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with 10 years of clinical and professional experience in the field of Mental Health and Counseling.

Mr. Watson was born in Gary Indiana and Graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. After receiving his degree he moved to Atlanta Georgia to pursue and ultimately complete his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University. After completing a Clinical Practicum at Peachford Hospital and earning extensive training in areas of  Acute Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient,  and Assessment and Diagnosis, he went on to start a small private practice known as Watson Counseling. After success with treating clients individually the premise to bring other professionals together led to a larger initiative to provide clinical services and Watson Behavioral Health Inc. was founded in 2009.

With a focus on Assessment, Diagnosis, Individual and Family therapy, Mr. Watson sought to bridge the gap between those who didn’t have access to mental health care and those that needed to be educated on the availability and access to outpatient forms of mental health treatment.

Mr. Watson is also active in the community. As a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. he is a participant and organizer of many community service events that include Clothing drives, Mental Health Awareness Walks, Health Fairs, and many other initiatives that provide services to those in need.
